Есливоспользоватьсябиблейским образом, то эту молитву можно сравнить с океаном,который впервобытные времена, до потопа, омывал всю землю и орошал ее.Безживительного действия молитвы Иисусовой, этого духовного океана, вчеловекеничто не может произрастать и тем более плодоносить.Существует мнение, что заниматься Иисусовой молитвой могуттолькомонахи, а мирянам, у которых каждый день множество забот, этоневозможно. Новспомним, например, святого праведного Иоанна Кронштадтского. Чтосталопричиной его необыкновенного преуспеяния? Об этом мало говорят, ноон былделателем непрестанной молитвы. Поскольку он был оченьревностнымхристианином, то взял на себя необыкновенный подвиг служенияближним,образно говоря, принял монашество среди мира, и, чтобы сохранитьсобранность,не поддаться суетным и греховным помыслам, ему было необходимочрезвычайноенапряжение сил.
